The Thomas Kraemer Speech and Blog consists of a bound copy of a presentation made at Oregon State University for Queer History Month by alumnus Thomas Kraemer on the history of gay student groups at OSU from 1976 to 2006. Included with the speech are photocopied entries from an online blog maintained by Kraemer in which he writes about other gay OSU alumni, media stories about the campus climate for gays and lesbians at OSU, Oregon laws regulating sexual practices, the American medical community's view of homosexuality, and the controversy surrounding a 1976 story about homosexuality that appeared in the Corvallis Gazette-Times newspaper. A compact disc containing an electronic copy of the speech and blog are included in the collection.
